Article 4: Access to the King

• "We have a High Priest, Who has gone into heaven, and He is Jesus the Son of God…So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness, and we will find help." (Hebrews 4:14, 16.)
• "Because of Christ, all of us can come to the Father by the same Spirit." (Ephesians 2:18.)
• "God's Spirit doesn't make us slaves who are afraid of Him. Instead, we become His children and call Him our Father. God's Spirit makes us sure that we are His children. His Spirit lets us know that together with Christ we will be given what God has promised. We will also share in the glory of Christ, because we have suffered with Him." (Romans 8:15-17.)
• "You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own." (1 Corinthians 6:19.)
• "I tell you for certain that the Father will give you whatever you ask for in My Name. You have not asked for anything in this way before, but now you must ask in My Name. Then it will be given to you, so that you will be completely happy." (John 16:23-24.)
• "Servants don't know what their master is doing, and so I don't speak to you as My servants. I speak to you as My friends, and I have told you everything that my Father has told Me. (John 15:15.)

• "Dear friends, you are foreigners and strangers on this earth. So I beg you not to surrender to those desires that fight against you. Always let others see you behaving properly, even though they may still accuse you of doing wrong. Then on the day of judgment, they will honor God by telling the good things they saw you do." (1 Peter 2:11-12.)
• "You are like salt for everyone on earth. But if salt no longer tastes like salt, how can it make food salty? All it is good for is to be thrown out and walked on. You are the light for the whole world…Make your light shine so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:13-16.)
• "You are God's chosen and special people. You are a group of royal priests and a holy nation. God has brought you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Now you must tell all the wonderful things that He has done. The Scriptures say, 'Once you were nobody. Now you are God's people. At one time no one had pity on you. Now God has treated you with kindness." (1 Peter 2:9-10.)
• "Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world. Anyone who believes Me and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe Me will be condemned. Everyone who believes Me will be able to do wonderful things. By using My Name they will force out demons, and they will speak new languages. They will handle snakes and will drink poison and not be hurt. They will also heal sick people by placing their hands on them." (Mark 16:15-18.)
