1. ~~ ** Mini-Reflection ** ~~
Jesus used the disciple Philip to teach us all something He
emphasized. "When Jesus saw the large crowd coming toward
Him, He asked Philip, 'Where will we get enough food to feed all
these people?' He said this to test Philip, since He already knew
that He was going to do. Philip answered, 'Don't You know that it
would take almost a year's wages just to buy only a little bread
for each of these people?' Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter,
was one of the disciples. He spoke up and said, 'There is a boy
here who has five small loaves of barley bread and two fish. But
what good is that with all these people?'" (John 6:5-9.)
Here are two men who witnessed the power of Jesus many times and
sat at His feet learning from Him daily. Yet their answers seemed
almost rude (of course Jesus would know the cost of over 5000
meals) and reverted to the practicalities of the physical world,
which appeared hopeless.
In the 14th chapter of John, Philip still does not get it and
Jesus seems somewhat exasperated. "Philip said, 'Lord, show
us the Father. That is all we need.' Jesus replied: 'Philip, I
have been with you for a long time. Don't you know Who I am? If
you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask Me to
show you the Father? Don't you believe that I am one with the
Father and that the Father is one with Me? What I say isn't said
on My own. The Father Who lives in Me does these things. Have
faith in Me when I say that the Father is one with Me and that I
am one with the Father. Or else have faith in Me simply because
of the things I do.'"
The Scriptures record Jesus marveling at only two things, and
intelligence, knowledge, ability to write or teach or fish were
not among them. Jesus marveled and was amazed at the strength of
faith (Luke 7:9) and the lack of faith (Mark 6:5-6.) In one
village the Son of God's healing ministry was limited, not
because it was God's will, but because the people lacked faith.
"When He (Christ) did come, it was to lead you to have faith
in God, Who raised Him from death and honored Him in a glorious
way. That's why you have put your faith and hope in God. (1 Peter
1:21.)
Faith is the conduit of God's power. That's why Jesus instructed
His followers to wait in Jerusalem after His ascension for the
Holy Spirit's baptism (immersion.) The Holy Spirit is our
Comforter, our Advocate, our Intercessor, the Spirit of the
Father and the Son.

Our web site feature of the week is
Interesting Information Ministry
(http://members.tripod.com/~InterestingInfo/InterestingInfoindex.html)
This is a one very long single page (to match its long URL), but
a great resource. The emailer wrote: < The "Interesting
Information" Ministry is a compilation of weekly news
articles taken from various Christian News Services which
provides current information as to what events are taking place
in today's world that supports what the Bible prophesies about
the "time of the end" in accordance with Luke
21:34....It is updated every Wednesday or Thursday evening...In
closing, I would like to leave you with a testimony of how God is
using this Ministry in Russia:>

< Praise the Lord!
Your internet ministry of "Interesting Information" is
appreciated in Russia. Pastor Vladimir in Moscow has his ministry
of Russian church and Seminary of 70 students including 15
military officers whom will be ordained as chaplains in Russian
army. Pastor Vladimir was a M.D. and pathology Ph.D but gave up
his career and came to L.A. for seminary training about 5 years
ago. Now, he is a dedicated servant for the Lord. He spreads
gospel mostly to intellectual classes in Russia and central Asia.
His seminary was approved only few weeks ago officially by the
Department of Justice of Russian government. This was a truly
miracle. Before, it took several year to get his church and
Evangelical Association from the government and we called a
miracle. This was his prayer request for us before. Now, he
believes God is in hurry trying to finish harvest throughout
Russia and other central Asian countries such as Kazahkstan, etc.
Thy will be done on earth !!

Dear Pastor Yoo, Elder Michael, and all brothers and sisters of
MMC, I greet you with love in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you very much, dear brother Michael, for letting me know
the Internet site for the INTERESTING INFORMATION weekly updates.
It is indeed very helpful in understanding the situations around
the world, which are constantly changing in accordance to God's
will to fulfill His promises. Praise the Lord for His plan of the
HW project. Yesterday I sent some Russian HW books and cassettes
to Bulgaria through one sister in Christ, a retired medical
doctor, who has recently joined my church. She is going to visit
a Russian Pentecostal church in the suburb of Sophia, the capital
city of Bulgaria. So, you should not be surprised if one day you
receive responses to the HW from Bulgaria. As for those feed
backs from the Russian readers I have received, I am going to ask
the American brothers and sisters from my church to translate
them for you. There are two American missionary families in my
church, who speak pretty good Russian. I think, for them
translating from Russian into English would be much easier task,
then for me. Now they are ministering at an international
Christian youth camp outside Moscow, but they are coming back
soon, and I will see them in the church next week.
God Bless you, your families, and your ministry for the Lord.
Vladimir. >

5. ~~ This week's Weekly Reflection follows below ~~
"Praise God! He can make you strong by means of my good
news, which is the message about Jesus Christ. For ages and ages
this messages was kept secret, but now at last it has been told.
The eternal God commanded His prophets to write about the good
news, so that all nations would obey and have faith. And now,
because of Jesus Christ, we can praise the only wise God forever!
Amen. (Romans 16:25-27)
In Christ's service,
John
