Greetings in the Name of our Lord! We are delighted to welcome
many new subscribers to our family of "Reflectors of the
Faith"! Please forward these newsletters to others whom you
believe may be interested. Print this out and have someone read
it to you while you are cooking, driving or doing some task
during which you can still lend an ear and extend the blessing of
contemplating the things of the Spirit with another.

1. ~~ ** Mini-Reflection ** ~~
"Friends, when I came and told you the mystery that God had
shared with us, I didn't use big words or try to sound wise. In
fact, while I was with you, I made up my mind to speak only about
Jesus Christ, who had been nailed to a cross.
"At first, I was weak and trembling with fear. When I talked
with you or preached, I didn't try to prove anything by sound
wise. I simply let God's Spirit show his power. That way you
would have faith because of God's power and not because of human
wisdom.
"We do use wisdom when speaking to people who are mature in
their faith. But it isn't the wisdom of this world or of its
rulers, who will soon disappear. We speak of God's hidden and
mysterious wisdom that God decided to use for our glory long
before the world began. The rulers of this world didn't know
anything about this wisdom. If they had known about it, they
would not have nailed the glorious Lord to a cross. But it is
just as Scriptures say, 'What God has planned for people who love
him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never
even entered our minds!'
"God's Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out
everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. You are the
only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God's Spirit is
the only one who knows what is in God's mind. But God has given
us his Spirit. That's why we don't think the same way that the
people of this world think. That's why we can recognize the
blessings that God has given us.
"Every word we speak was taught to us by God's Spirit, not
by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us teach spiritual
things to spiritual people. That's why only someone who has God's
Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't
have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish. People who
are guided by the Spirit can make all kinds of judgments, but
they cannot be judged by others. The Scriptures ask, 'Has anyone
ever known the thought of the Lord or given him advice?' But we
understand what Christ is thinking." (1 Cor. 2:1-16.)

2. ~~ ** Cruising Christian Cyberspace! ** ~~
Our web site feature of the week is
Beyond the Clouds
(http://hometown.aol.com/palsinjesus/PalslistNewsletter.html)
Those of you who have been with us for a while know about our
penchant for encouraging a Christian presence on the world wide
web. Certainly there are the big corporations that dominate a
specific market (like Amazon.com for books) and that's true of
the Christian community as well. But we applaud (and have brought
your attention to) the "little voices" in cyberspace
who are not motivated by e-commerce, but only by the love of our
Lord. They typically have long URLs since they use their ISP
(Internet Service Providers) free offer of personal web pages.
(Your ISP probably offers that to you. If it doesn't we can let
you know about companies that will host your own homepage for
free.) This web page describes itself this way: "Our
newsletter is called "Beyond the Clouds" . Palslist for
a lot of people has been friendships as well as hope during some
serious trials in our life. Some people look at these trials as
mountains but I think clouds are a better description at times.
We know that God is in our lives but there is a cloud layer in
the way sometimes preventing us from seeing His Light. I have
heard over and over again how Palslist has been a lifeline and
therefore I felt that Palslist is group of women who together can
help each other look "Beyond the Clouds."
It is unusual for us to feature two sites in one week, but this
is an important one since it provides you the ability to give the
blessing instead of receiving it:
The Bible Site
(http://www.thebiblesite.org/)
"You Can Donate Bibles to Persecuted Christians Worldwide.
It's Quick Easy and Free! Right now, 200 million Christians are
living under restriction for their faith in Jesus Christ. Most do
not even have their own copy of the Bible, the one weapon they
must have in order to be victorious in the spiritual battles they
face every day. You can provide your suffering brothers and
sisters with a portion of God's Word at no cost to you. Please
help. It's quick and easy. All you have to do is click this
button . . . " Please check it out.

3. ~~ ** Prayergear.com Product and Service Updates ** ~~
Our affiliate, Fresh Wind Ministries, recommended a book to its
subscribers: Visioneering, by Andy Stanley. Our review
underscores this book's worth. The back cover reads, "The
engineering of a vision. It's the process one follows to develop
and maintain vision. "Vision," writes Any Stanley,
"is a clear mental picture of what could be, fueled by the
conviction that is should be." In Visioneering, Stanely
builds a compelling case for the necessity of a clear,
God-ordained vision for each of the roles of your life. Whether
you're a parent with a vision for your children or a CEO pursuing
a corporate vision, Visioneering is the perfect tool to help you
develop and maintain God's unique purpose for your life."
You can find this book on our online store in the "Best
Sellers" section or by

Thank you for your patronage of our online store. All purchases
go to supporting our ministries.

4. ~~ ** Let us know! ** ~~
Our questions of this week are 1) Why did you subscribe to this
newsletter? 2) If you are embracing Jesus as your Savior, what
led you to Him? 3) If you are not embracing Him as your Savior,
what is holding you back? Responses will be published next week,
anonymously, unless you want us to post your name. Let us know!
